UPDATE: Story Changes in Criminal Complaint Against Kenosha Mom
A criminal complaint against 55-year-old Paula Whittaker---from Kenosha---tells a different story than was originally told by the FBI when she was arrested---last week---in a human trafficking prostitution operation. Whittaker was charged---yesterday---with keeping a place of prostitution---and---is being held on a $75-hundred dollar cash bond. The Kenosha News reports today that information it received from the FBI indicated that Whittaker was prostituting her own two teenage daughters. There are three teenage girls involved in this particular story according to the newspaper. A 16-year-old who is Whittaker’s daughter---and---a 17-year-old and 18-year-old who Whittaker claims she adopted. The newspaper reports that the 18-year-old girl told authorities that Whittaker knew about the prostitution taking place in her Kenosha apartment---but---played no part in it. Whittaker’s attorney asked the charge be dismissed because she was not technically involved in the prostitution---but---the newspaper reports that Court Commissioner David Berman denied the motion saying that her acquiescence was tantamount to keeping a place a place of prostitution. She has a preliminary hearing October 27th.
