(WGTD)---A spirited race has developed for the Kenosha Circuit Court branch once occupied by Bruce Schroeder who recently retired after spending decades as judge.
Paddock Lake attorney Frank Gagliardi was appointed by Gov. Evers last year to fill out the rest of Schroeder’s term which ends this summer.
In order for Gagliardi to retain the position, he’ll have to survive a three-way primary February 20th then win the general election match-up on April 2nd.
In addition to Gagliardi, the primary ballot will include Heather Iverson and Bill Michel. Both Michel and Iverson are full-time court commissioners.
Michel is a former county board supervisor who once worked as an assistant district attorney and spent years in private practice. Iverson cites her work in the county’s child support agency and in private practice.
In addition to his work as an attorney, Gagliardi refers to years of volunteer service, including serving as a coach for youth softball.
All three candidates were on a recent edition of WGTD’s Community Matters program.
