Kenosha Ald. Dave Bogdala Enters Race for Mayor

June 1, 2023 1p

(WGTD)---A week after Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian announced that he won't seek re-election next spring, Kenosha Ald. David Bogdala has thrown his hat into the ring.

In a statement, Bogdala said he wants to continue the progress made during the 15 years he's been on the council.

Bogdala, who represents a district on Kenosha's far west side, specifically mentioned the Downtown Vision Plan, Kenosha Innovation Neighborhood and Kenosha Emerging Leaders Academy.

Bogdala said his campaign will focus on community engagement and presenting innovative solutions, promising to hold town hall meetings, community forums and neighborhood outreach events.

Bogdala is the first candidate to announce.

The deadline to file papers is just after the first of the year.

A primary, if one is needed, will be in February, with the general election in April.
