Evers Reverses Course: All Restaurants and Bars Now Limited to Takeout and Delivery

March 17, 2020 1:54 pm

(WGTD)--In his daily COVID-19 press briefing, Governor Tony Evers announced that all bars and restaurants in Wisconsin will be limited to dine out and/or delivery service. This reverses his administration’s decision yesterday to allow establishments to stay open if they operated at under 50 percent capacity or had less than 50 patrons. The new partial shutdown order goes into effect tonight at 5:00pm.

In other startling news, The case of COVID-19 in Kenosha County was a "community spread" case, meaning that the person infected had not been in contact with anyone with COVID-19.

Monday night, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett usurped the Governor and decided to limit all bars and restaurants in the city to delivery or takeout.
