Effective Problem-Solving; Decision-Making, at KABA's "Inspire" Conference

Oct. 4, 2024 2p

(WGTD)---An expert on problem-solving and the importance of making the right day-by-day decisions is one of the headliners at the upcoming "Inspire" conference in Kenosha. The leadership-learning event is organized by the Kenosha Area Business Alliance.

Speaking on WGTD’s Morning Show, Jeff Shinabarger admitted that solving problems comes easier for some of us. "Most of us retreat and run from problems but in the midst of problems is where new ideas come from and that's where new life begins," he said.

Shinabarger is the author of several books, including one titled “Yes or No: How Your Everyday Decisions Will Shape Your Life.” He’s also the founder of an Atlanta nonprofit called “The Plywood People,” a reference to the act of patching things up in with plywood.

Effective problem-solvers, he said, often have a vested interest in the problem at hand. "When a problem becomes personal they're going to stick with that problem because it's part of their story," Shinabarger said.

Another speaker at this year’s “Inspire” conference is Neil Hoyne, the chief strategist at Google.

The conference is Oct. 11th at Journey Church.
