MS- Wisconsin for Kennedy

B.J. Hollars, Professor of English at the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, talks about his new book "Wisconsin for Kennedy:  The Primary that Launched a President and Changed the Course of History."   The book is a thorough and fascinating account of JFK's campaign for the Wisconsin presidential primary in early 1960.  His narrow victory over Hubert Humphrey was a crucial turning point in Kennedy's quest for the presidency.   The book is also about some of Kennedy's most important staff members, including Jerry Bruno - a Kenosha forklift operator with a 9th grade education who became one of the main coordinators of the campaign and went on to serve as the main advance man for most of President Kennedy's offical travels during his time in office- right up to his final trip to Dallas, Texas.
